Welcome to Eighth Grade!

This website is intended to be a resource for you to find out what is going on this year, for both your section and your entire class. We will be updating this regularly, so be sure to check back in often!

I am Elana Solomon, the Dean of Students for the 8th Grade and one of the Administrators for this site. Here you will find useful information for both the student as well as the parent. By clicking on the class links below you will find a calendar for each section with assignments for each month. Forgot when a project is due? Click the website and see. 8th Grade teachers are going to be encouraged to use this to post due dates of tests, projects and any other important assignments. Teachers may have their own web page and if possible I will try to post links to it on this page. Some of us are still new to this and need everyone to realize that this site is a work in progress. The eighth grade teachers are dedicated and hard working professionals and are anxious to help you. They check their email and school mailbox's regularly. If you would like to email them please click the link below for a list of your children's teachers. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. As this is a new site, all suggestions are greatly appreciated!

NJHS Meeting is pushed to THURSDAY, May 17th, instead of tomorrow.

This year, the school library will be closing earlier for remodelling, around the end of May. Please return your books (or there will be consequences!)

Middle School Concert Thursday night (5/17/12)

Please come and support the school's music department! Tickets will be sold at the door.

The concert begins at 7:00 pm.

Washington D.C. trip on Friday, 3/18/12: Arrive at school by 7:00 am. Bring a bagged lunch. You may bring dinner, but we will have a quick stop somewhere to buy dinner. We will arrive back at school around 8:00 pm. Please notify your parents and make transportation arrangements for you to get home safely.

Every Thursday, in the 2nd floor hall way, between 2nd and 3rd period, pretzels are sold for 50 cents by Ms.Tait, the MS Prez, and VP. Profits go to several funds for the school!!!

Members of the E.E.C. (Environmental Engineers Committee) and additional helpers worked very hard to paint the school desks of room 308 and removed all vulgar remarks.

Please do NOT vandalize them. Thank you very much.
